kolsai lake weather

There are three lakes about 6 hours drive from Almaty. Like quite a bit of the countryside in this country you will see a bit of litter which is disappointing and part of the reason i cant give this place a 5 star rating. The photos do not begin to do justice to how spectacular the country side was here.

It is a great place to just take in the views and relax. Strangely enough, this uncommonly beautiful lake is still quite unknown. The water in the lakes is fresh. The temperature of the lake is maximum 6ºC in summer! I want to thank you for this chic tour to the Charyn Canyon! The scenery is typical lake/alpine and is unspoilt in that there's not much built-up intrusion, but litter is a problem as local Kazakh visitors seem to like lighting fires to cook in remote places and leave their litter and empty bottles there.
