The only flaw that I had with this film is that I felt that rape scene should've been handled differently rather than actually show it happening. Being maddening at all times, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is a brutal, dark and visually stimulating film that, releasing a huge anxiety, is captivating by the way the sinister clings to the unexpected.

Well acted, beautifully shot, well made plot and Rooney Mara putting a lot of dedication to her role. Don't get me wrong, the movie did a good job of telling the story as written.

There are few characters anywhere like Salander, played here by It has been a fascination with the lean, fierce Salander that draws me into the "Girl" movies.

It was turned into a movie in 2009 featuring Noomi Rapace as the main character Lisbeth Salander and Michael Nyqvist as the journalist Mikael Blomkvist.

I’ve watched both and have to say hands down the Fincher version is much better and captures the heart of the characters.

I might have enjoyed this movie if I hadn't enjoyed the book so much.

All the horrible "bits" are here, but they were in the book, so they have to be here.
